Junior Operations Operator
Key Responsibilities
– Assist with the coordination and execution of vessel agency and cabotage operations.
– Support vessel arrival, berthing, departure and port clearance procedures.
– Coordinate with port authorities, shipping agents, clients, vessel crews and other relevant stakeholders.
– Prepare and maintain operational documentation and reports.
– Monitor vessel movements and operational activities.
– Assist with customs, immigration, port and other regulatory requirements.
– Ensure timely communication and follow-up of operational activities.
– Support the Operations team in resolving day-to-day operational issues.
– Ensure compliance with company procedures, safety requirements and applicable maritime regulations.
Requirements
– Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Studies, Logistics, Transport, Shipping, Business Administration or a related field.
– Previous experience in vessel agency and/or cabotage operations is essential.
– Knowledge of port operations and shipping documentation.
– Good communication and coordination skills.
– Ability to work under pressure and meet operational deadlines.
– Good command of English and Portuguese, both written and spoken.
– Good computer skills, particularly MS Office.
– Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays when required by operations.
– Previous experience in Cabo Delgado or the northern Mozambique maritime sector will be an advantage.
