Tete, Mozambique | Mining & Industrial Operations
We are seeking an experienced and result-oriented HR Head to lead and strengthen the complete Human Resources function for our operations in Tete, Mozambique.
This is a senior leadership position for an HR professional who can build a strong people-oriented organisation, establish systems and processes, ensure compliance, and work closely with the senior management team.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum 15 years of HR experience, with substantial experience at HR Head / Senior HR Management level.
• Proven experience in Mining, Heavy Industry, Manufacturing, Construction or a similar operational environment.
• Strong expertise in Payroll, HR Administration, Recruitment, Manpower Planning and Employee Relations.
• Demonstrated ability to develop organisational culture, employee engagement and motivation.
• Strong experience in Training & Development and leadership development.
• Sound practical knowledge of Mozambican Labour Laws, statutory compliance and employment regulations.
• Recognised University Degree in Human Resources, HR Management or a related discipline.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Strong computer skills and familiarity with modern HR systems and digital tools.
• Good understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its practical application to improve HR processes and productivity.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal and decision-making skills, with the ability to work independently and lead an HR team.
PREFERRED
Previous Mining / Heavy Industry HR leadership experience.
Experience working in Mozambique.
Candidates currently based in Tete or having family in Tete.
Willingness to relocate to Tete and make a long-term commitment to the organisation.
Proven ability to work in a multicultural and international environment.
