Hiring: Support Officers – Maputo (On-site)

I know many of my NGO LinkedIn contacts in Mozambique have had to lay off staff recently. This post isn’t aimed at the senior people in my network it’s for the people you supervised: your admins, field support, community mobilizers, reception/operations support, and anyone dependable and trainable.

A partner of mine is recruiting a small control room team in Maputo. Training is provided.

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 completed
  • English (spoken and written)
  • Comfortable using a computer
  • Reliable, calm, willing to learn

Preferred profile

  • Women 30+ (strong preference)
  • Available for rotational shifts (may include nights/weekends)

Role in simple terms

  • Based in a control room handling incoming alerts/queries and routing information
  • Following simple procedures and checklists
  • Communicating by message and phone when needed
  • Keeping basic records and supporting shift handovers
