The Finance Manager is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing all financial operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing accurate financial reporting. Based in Maputo, this position plays a critical role in safeguarding the institution’s assets, managing liquidity and treasury functions, and providing data-driven insights to support decision-making. The ideal candidate will ensure the highest standards of financial integrity and control within the dynamic banking/microfinance sector.
Responsabilidades
- Prepare and present timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and local regulatory standards for the Central Bank of Mozambique. Ensure full compliance with all statutory and banking sector regulations
- Direct daily treasury operations, including cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, and interbank transactions. Optimize the funding structure and manage the institution’s investment portfolio in line with risk policies
- Manage and develop the finance and accounting team. Drive the improvement and digitalization of financial systems, internal controls, and procedures to enhance efficiency and reporting accuracy
- Lead the annual budgeting process and regular financial forecasting. Provide advanced analytical insights on financial performance, product profitability, and cost management to the senior management team.
Qualificações
- Minimum of 5 years of experience, mandatory in the banking/microfinance sector
Habilidades e Experiência
- Strong understanding of financial standards, reconciliations, treasury and reporting
- Certifications such as ACCA are valued
