Mission:

• Ensure proper receipt and inspection of materials upon arrival at the site, checking integrity, conformity, and quantity according to specifications, technical drawings, Purchase Orders, and Packing Lists.
• Oversee correct handling, storage, and preservation of materials following vendor, client, and project guidelines.
• Ensure traceability and proper handover of materials.

Key Responsibilities:

• Promote safe work practices and environmental protection, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Fulfill all quality and contractual requirements of the project.
• Inspect incoming materials for integrity, conformity, and quantity.
• Segregate non-conforming materials.
• Ensure availability of adequate handling equipment.
• Store and preserve materials as per defined procedures.
• Notify the Quality Department when materials are ready for inspection.
• Maintain up-to-date records of available and incoming materials; assist with feasibility analysis and issue relevant reports.
• Update relevant software systems (e.g., MARIAN, MAGA, FMS, as applicable).
• Verify Test Certificate Numbers and heat cast numbers in collaboration with the Quality Department; keep certificate records.
• Manage and control the handover of materials to subcontractors and/or execution teams, ensuring documentation via vouchers.
• Coordinate the return or repair of non-conforming materials.
• Promptly issue Material Requisition Requests (MRRs) to support procurement processes.
• Manage human and technical resources efficiently, identifying needs or surpluses.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting better methodologies, tools, and material management practices.
• Coordinate with Site Construction Management or Fabrication Yard Planning teams to reconcile materials with clients and subcontractors.
