Job Description

The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for executing talent acquisition activities and processes tailored to evolving business requirements. The role ensures an efficient, high-touch recruitment experience for new hires, supporting employee engagement and satisfaction throughout the recruitment lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition & Recruitment

  • Source and attract top-tier candidates within agreed timelines, using appropriate sourcing channels and tools.
  • Ensure compliance with recruitment policies, including documentation and sign-off processes (e.g., references, approvals).
  • Maintain an accurate vacancy tracking system and provide regular updates on hiring progress.
  • Align hiring needs with business objectives by collaborating with hiring managers and HR teams.
  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, ensuring efficiency and adherence to company benchmarks.
  • Conduct recruitment and selection processes in accordance with relevant guidelines and legislation to maintain quality and integrity.
  • Ensure candidates are appropriately matched to roles to minimize turnover, training costs, and supervision needs.

Stakeholder Engagement & Process Optimization

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with hiring managers and HR teams to stay informed on current and future hiring needs.
  • Offer expert guidance on job requirements, candidate suitability, and recruitment best practices.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency.
  • Promote the adoption of technology and digital platforms in the recruitment process.

Governance & Compliance

  • Comply with governance, compliance, and employment equity policies, escalating risks where necessary.
  • Ensure data accuracy in recruitment systems and maintain an updated talent database.
  • Provide timely reporting on recruitment operations, performance, and audit findings.

Service Delivery & Performance Improvement

  • Deliver high-quality work, adhering to predefined standards and turnaround times.
  • Continuously assess and improve personal and team performance.
  • Contribute to a collaborative and inclusive team environment.
