Vacancy – Senior Contract Engineer (Site Operations)
Location: Afungi, Mozambique
Industry: Oil and Gas (Operator)
Duration: 1 year, renewable
Rotation: 28 days ON / 28 days OFF
Primary Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain an up-to-date list of qualified contractors/suppliers/tenders for market analysis and studies.
- Develop Contracting Strategies and launch Calls for Tenders to secure the necessary expertise.
- Lead the presentation of Recommendation to Award (RTA) to the Contracts Committee or appropriate DOA approver, jointly with DUET.
- Establish technical contracts and directly handle the most complex contractual agreements.
- Conduct commercial bid analyses and negotiations alongside DUET.
- Ensure contract handovers to Partner Entities and monitor contractor performance with DUET support.
- Assist C&P management in settling claims and lawsuits in collaboration with Legal, Insurance, Finance, and TEPMA1 Management teams.
- Monitor ongoing contracts and participate in discussions regarding renewals and amendments.
Experience / Qualifications:
- Education: Master’s Degree (Mandatory)
- International Experience: Required
- Professional Experience: 10–15 years, with at least 2 years in technical contracts within operations.
- Skills:
- Advanced management and human relations skills
- Strong problem-solving, planning, organizational, and coordination abilities
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Broad understanding of operational activities and cross-branch issues handling
- Ability to train new C&P personnel through induction programs
