Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of financial operations. Your duties will include:
Accounts Receivable & Customer Billing
- Set up customer billing structures and post accounts receivable activities in the general ledger.
- Prepare accounts receivable reports to monitor outstanding balances and manage cash flow.
- Approve the suspension and reinstatement of customer accounts based on payment behavior.
- Process customer settlement plans and manage debt collection to recover outstanding debts.
Debt Management
- Implement and monitor debt recovery strategies and workouts.
- Report on collection effectiveness and support financial stability.
Payments & Internal Controls
- Review and authorize electronic bank payments to ensure accuracy and prevent unauthorized transactions.
- Maintain up-to-date financial profiles for payees.
- Detect, evaluate, and improve internal control effectiveness to prevent errors and fraud.
Tax Compliance & Reporting
- Manage tax audits and respond to tax inquiries.
- Process and account for domestic and foreign taxes.
- Optimize tax strategies and structures to minimize liabilities.
- Ensure accurate tax reporting and ongoing compliance with regulations.
- Manage regulatory changes and maintain tax master data.
General Ledger & Reconciliations
- Maintain local general ledger and conduct master data retrospective reviews.
- Plan and perform account reconciliations and balance sheet reviews to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Provide reliable financial data to support strategic decision-making.
Financial Operations & Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and efficiency improvements.
- Manage customer credit applications and conduct due diligence assessments.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree and/or Advanced Diploma in Accounting or Finance.
- Must be OCAM registered.
- Experience:
- 5–8 years of relevant accounting experience.
- At least 2 years in a leadership or people management role.
- Experience in FMCG, logistics, or warehousing sectors is preferred.
