About the Role
Our client, a leader in the Heavy Machinery & Vehicles sector, seeks a dynamic Sales Representative to join their team in Maputo. The successful candidate will drive sales growth by building strategic relationships with key accounts and providing expert consultative support on equipment solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Customer Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain productive relationships with key account customers.
- Proactively identify and address customer needs, offering tailored solutions.
- Advise clients on equipment life cycles, maintenance plans, and cost-saving strategies.
- Prepare and present quotes for parts, service, and equipment management solutions.
Product & Market Expertise
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of the dealership’s full product range and applications.
- Stay updated on industry trends to provide value-driven recommendations.
Business Development
- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within the heavy machinery sector.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential Requirements
- Qualified diesel/earthmoving equipment mechanic (or equivalent certification).
- 5+ years of Caterpillar experience as an artisan or in a technical role.
- Strong technical knowledge of heavy machinery brands.
- Business development skills with a customer-focused approach.
- Excellent communication skills (managerial & technical report writing required).
Preferred Qualifications
- Tech Sales/Marketing Diploma or Certificate (advantageous).
- Shipping & logistics background (a plus).
