About the Role

This is a permanent, full-time position.

As a Safety & Assurance Specialist, you will monitor governance and compliance across Mozal’s Health, Safety, Environment, Risk, and Quality (HSERQ) programs. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that key safety initiatives align with ISO standards, risk management frameworks, and corporate assurance programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate HSERQ programs across the site.
• Collaborate with the risk workstream to enhance safety processes.
• Implement and embed the ISO 45001 system and related processes.
• Support the planning, scheduling, execution, administration, and reporting of assurance and compliance activities, including:
  • ISO 45001, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001 audits
  • ICMM (International Council on Mining and Metals) and ASI (Aluminium Stewardship Initiative) audits
  • Internal and external HSERQ assurance activities
• Manage the planning and scheduling of ISO 45001, ISO 9001, and safety systems’ management reviews.

About You

You will have at least five years of experience in the industrial HSERQ field and demonstrate expertise in:

• HSERQ management in an industrial, smelting, process, or manufacturing environment (preferred).
• Conducting risk assessments and incident investigations.
• Fluency in Portuguese and English (both written and spoken).

Qualifications

• Technical Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Risk, or Safety.
• A NEBOSH qualification is advantageous.
