Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Químico Marinho located in Beira. The role involves conducting chemical analyses of marine samples, monitoring water quality, and performing laboratory experiments. The Químico Marinho will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop research projects, document findings, and prepare technical reports. The role also includes responsibilities such as maintaining laboratory equipment, ensuring safety compliance during operations, and contributing to marine conservation initiatives.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in conducting laboratory analysis, sample preparation, and chemical testing
- Ability to perform data analysis, research, and prepare accurate reports
- Knowledge of marine chemistry, water quality testing, and oceanographic processes
- Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and organizational skills
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills for working within a multidisciplinary team
- Experience in maintaining and troubleshooting laboratory equipment
- Familiarity with environmental regulations and safety protocols in laboratory settings
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in Chemistry, Marine Science, or a related field
- Previous experience in marine or environmental projects is an advantage
