Position: Geotechnical QC Inspector
Location: Afungi, Cabo Delgado Province, Mozambique

Scope
Provide technical field support for daily geotechnical operations under the supervision of the senior inspector. Ensure adherence to quality and safety standards during field activities and assist in the validation of technical documentation and data.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in monitoring onshore geotechnical activities including drilling, CPT, and soil sampling
- Perform basic checks on equipment calibration and documentation
- Ensure correct sample labeling, handling, and temporary storage on site
- Participate in toolbox talks and daily coordination meetings
- Record observations and assist in preparing inspection logs
- Follow-up on contractor daily progress and raise issues when necessary
- Coordinate with the lead inspector on QA/QC reviews and data validation
- Ensure safety protocols and site procedures are followed at all times
Qualification
- Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience in geotechnical or civil site works
- Familiar with field procedures such as drilling, cone penetration testing, or lab sampling
- Prior exposure to QA/QC or inspection processes is a plus
- Comfortable working in remote field environments
- Good communication and reporting skills in English
- Valid passport and medical fitness to travel and work in Mozambique
