Position Overview
FH is seeking a Financial Controller to oversee finance operations under the supervision of the Country Finance Operations Manager (CFOM). This role involves managing daily financial activities, reviewing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with FH policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as CFOM Deputy in their absence.
- Review all payments below 158,000 MZN.
- Oversee monthly financial reports from all provinces before posting in MS Dynamics.
- Conduct monthly bank reconciliations and manage statutory payroll submissions.
- Monitor cash management to align with program activities.
- Provide technical assistance to program staff in Adaptive Planning.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance of payment documents with FH policies.
- Assist in the preparation of donor reports based on specific donor requirements.
- Review journal templates before posting transactions.
- Support internal and external audits and assist in implementing audit recommendations.
- Conduct Value for Money Audits on field activities and report findings.
- Ensure adherence to financial policies (e.g., per diem policy, vendor management).
- Professionally liaise with banks, government bodies, and stakeholders.
- Identify capacity development needs and organize relevant training.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or Business Administration.
- CA, CPA, or ACCA professional qualification.
- Minimum 5 years of financial management experience, preferably in an international NGO.
- Audit background is an advantage.

- Ability to analyze large financial datasets, summarize insights, and recommend solutions.
