Vacancy – Civil QA/QC Lead
Location: Afungi, Mozambique
Industry: Oil and Gas (Operator)
Duration: 1-year contract (renewable)
Rotation: 28 days ON / 28 days OFF
Principal Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all project Civil QA/QC activities comply with project requirements, including HSE, quality, schedule, and cost objectives.
- Analyze and report performance of all contractors and subcontractors; identify deviations/risks and propose timely mitigations.
- Act as the primary QA/QC/Inspection representative with the main contractor, ensuring full compliance with company QA/QC standards and procedures.
- Review and comment on contractors’ quality plans, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), and related documentation.
- Manage QA/QC/Inspection interfaces at the site to ensure alignment with company/project standards.
- Advise the Area Manager and Discipline Superintendents on QA/QC/Inspection management and coordinate effectively across disciplines.
- Supervise and control contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure construction is compliant with specifications, standards, procedures, and approved drawings.
Experience / Qualifications:
- Education: Engineering degree or equivalent with a post-qualification in QA/QC/Inspection within the Oil & Gas sector.
- Experience:
- 15 years of experience in related works within the oil and gas industry.
- Minimum of 10 years specifically in Civil QA/QC roles.
- Skills:
- Deep understanding of critical success areas for large complex projects, including safety, environment, cost, schedule, quality, and risk management.
- Strong English written and verbal communication skills (Portuguese or French is an advantage).
