The Organization

Plan International is an independent development and humanitarian organization that advances children’s rights and equality for girls.

We believe in the power and potential of every child. However, poverty, violence, exclusion, and discrimination often suppress this potential, affecting girls the most.

Working alongside children, young people, supporters, and partners, we strive for a just world by addressing the root causes of challenges affecting girls and vulnerable children. We support children’s rights from birth to adulthood, enabling them to prepare for and respond to crises.

With over 85 years of experience, Plan International operates in more than 80 countries, driving change in policies and practices at local, national, and global levels.
