Position Overview
We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated Assistant Finance Manager to lead the finance team and ensure financial integrity, supporting GNMOZ’s mission through effective financial management.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Financial Management:
- Oversee all financial operations of the organization.
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with financial standards and regulations.
Financial Planning and Analysis:
- Prepare and monitor the annual budget.
- Conduct financial analyses to inform strategic decision-making.
- Prepare periodic financial reports for management and donors.
Accounting and Reporting:
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of accounting records.
- Coordinate the preparation of audited financial statements.
- Maintain efficient and effective accounting systems.
Compliance and Audit:
- Ensure the organization meets all fiscal and regulatory obligations.
- Facilitate internal and external audits.
- Implement audit recommendations to enhance financial controls.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management, preferably in the NGO or humanitarian sector.
- Strong knowledge of accounting and financial practices.
- Proficiency in Online Quickbook.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Languages:
- Proficiency in Portuguese and English.
