Vacancy: Assistant Branch Manager (Export Customer Service)

About the Company:
Our client is a leading organization in the shipping and logistics sector, dedicated to delivering outstanding customer service and operational excellence. They are looking for a dynamic Assistant Branch Manager to support the Export Customer Service department and contribute to operational efficiency and business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operational Excellence
- Oversee department activities such as planning, documentation, and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Drive achievement of KPIs including on-time delivery, cost optimization, and accurate billing.
- Conduct process audits to reduce freight damage/loss and improve inventory turnover.
2. Team Leadership
- Supervise and mentor staff, setting clear performance goals and ensuring accountability.
- Organize training and plan annual leave schedules.
- Foster a safe and compliant work environment aligned with HSE standards.
3. Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with the Branch Manager, senior management, and other departments.
- Liaise with external partners including customers, customs agents, and port authorities.
- Address customer concerns proactively to enhance satisfaction and loyalty.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in a relevant field; additional certifications in Shipping or Logistics are an asset.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the shipping/logistics industry, including team leadership and direct customer service.
- Proficiency in Excel and data tools (e.g., Power Query) for decision-making.
Competencies
- Strong leadership with a focus on customer service, planning, and team coordination.
- Ability to manage change and promote innovation in a dynamic environment.
- Sound understanding of customs and port regulations and logistics operations.
