Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Asset Manager of Equipment and Maintenance to oversee our equipment operations in Pemba. This role involves managing the maintenance, performance, and availability of all company assets, ensuring efficiency and compliance with safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and schedule regular maintenance of equipment
- Oversee repairs and ensure timely resolution of equipment issues
- Track and document equipment usage and maintenance history
- Ensure all equipment complies with safety and regulatory standards
- Coordinate with departments to align equipment availability with operational needs
- Optimize maintenance processes and minimize downtime
- Manage parts inventory and liaise with suppliers and service providers
- Maintain up-to-date records using relevant software systems
Qualifications
- Proven experience in equipment maintenance and repair
- Strong background in maintenance planning and operations management
- Knowledge of safety regulations and equipment compliance
- Excellent organizational and coordination skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
- Ability to work full-time on-site in Pemba
- Proficiency with maintenance and asset tracking software
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Maintenance Management, or a related field (preferred)
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years in a major plant hire or construction company in a similar role
