Vacancy – ASI & Other Superintendent
Location: Afungi, Mozambique
Industry: Oil & Gas (Operator)
Duration: 12-month contract (renewable)
Rotation: 28 days ON / 28 days OFF
Primary Responsibilities:
- Ensure that site works are properly managed and executed by the Contractor and their approved Subcontractors in accordance with the Contract Agreement.
- Responsible for all activities related to resettlement works (villages, houses, utilities, roads, etc.), airstrip, security improvements, and more.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant HSE requirements to promote a healthy and safe work environment.
- Analyze and report performance of all Contractors and Subcontractors, identifying deviations/risks and proposing timely mitigations to the Project Management Team.
- Monitor and review Contractor Assurance activities and verification documentation.
- Ensure that all works are performed in accordance with approved plans and procedures.
- Interface with Company discipline Superintendents, Engineers, Planners, Authorities, Contractors, and Vendors to ensure key Contract deliverables are achieved.
Qualifications / Experience:
- Education: Degree or diploma in a relevant discipline field and/or Oil & Gas construction projects.
- Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in related discipline works with a strong general knowledge of the oil and gas industry.
- Full understanding of critical success factors for large complex projects: safety, environment, work organization, cost, schedule, quality, organizational competency, and risk management.
- Skills:
- Strong HSE culture and safety leadership.
- Effective communication and leadership skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (Portuguese or French is advantageous).
