Our client, a leading global provider in the Energy industry, is looking to appoint a successful Administrative Assistant & Logistics Coordinator to based in Afungi.

Job dimensions

The Logistics Coordinator reports to the Afungi Upsteam Installation/Construction Manager and is responsible for arranging and coordinating Company EPCI Team personnel and equipment logistics in-coming, in-country and out-going from the Afungi Site (this includes logistics to/from vessels conducting EPCI scope activities).

Significant resources and assets will be deployed by the MTV consortium for the EPCI Contract scope including Pipelay Vessels (Deep Energy, Solitaire and Stingray), Construction Vessels (Skandi Africa and Olympic Challenger) and various Dredging Vessels to conduct the scope. All these vessels will have Company EPCI Team elements onboard.

The position holder shall work in conjunction with in-country counterparts in the MTV Consortium, other members of the Company EPCI team and the wider Company Project Team (e.g Company Logistics Team, Upstream Division, Downstream Division etc.). The Logistics Coordinator is present onshore at the Afungi Site and is a local position on a 28/28 rotational schedule.

Responsibilities

•    Monitor, report, review and manage all facets of Company EPCI Team personnel and equipment logistics in-coming, in-country and out-going from the Afungi Site (including construction vessels and Maputo Office).

•    Ensure that all EPCI Team personnel follow a known route from origin to destination, are provided with suitable briefing materials and have in hand travel documents to ensure a safe and low stress travel.

•    Forecast and communicate personnel logistics and camp bed space requirements to the Downstream Team and other elements of the Project as needed – this shall include MTV requirements.

•    Ensure that personnel or equipment location can be rapidly located at any moment during the logistics transportation processes.

•    Provide leadership in identification and resolution of EPCI Team personnel and equipment logistics issues, in conjunction with managers and other members of the EPCI Team, in an efficient and cost-effective manner.

•    Ensure appropriate processes / ways of working are established and implemented appropriate to the work activities being undertaken.

•    Work with the highest regard to an exemplary HSE performance and pro-actively support HSSE performance and compliance within the wider EPCI Team on a day to day basis.

Qualifications:

•    Minimum of 5 years relevant track record in global logistics and personnel/ office administration type roles.

•    Experienced administrator and capable to pro-actively identify and solve problems, competent with MS office.

•    Fluency in the English language, in addition understanding of written/ spoken Portuguese of benefit.

•    Secondary level education.
