Role Purpose

Vodacom Mozambique is seeking a talented and results-driven Vendor Acquisition Coordinator to join its E-Commerce team. The ideal candidate will manage relationships with key vendor accounts to meet customer needs. This role is perfect for someone with a start-up mindset, strong problem-solving abilities, and a drive for continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the main point of contact for key sellers, offering support and guidance.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with sellers by understanding their business goals.
  • Conduct account reviews to evaluate seller performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Analyze performance metrics and provide data-driven recommendations.
  • Support sellers with product listings, pricing, promotions, and inventory strategies.
  • Track marketplace trends and advise sellers accordingly.
  • Drive sales by increasing product assortment and seller engagement.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams on targeted campaigns to boost traffic and sales.
  • Resolve seller issues efficiently and mediate disputes between sellers and customers.
  • Work with customer service to optimize seller support processes.
  • Use analytics tools to monitor KPIs for seller accounts.
  • Generate reports for senior management with insights on seller performance and risks.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure alignment and support for sellers.
  • Participate in projects aimed at enhancing marketplace functionality.

Key Competencies, Knowledge, and Experience

  • Proven experience in account management and sales growth within online marketplaces.
  • Background in e-commerce or retail is an advantage.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Skilled in negotiation and conflict resolution.
  • Strategic planning and implementation expertise.
  • Proficient in data analysis tools (Excel, Google Analytics, CRM systems).
  • Solid understanding of online marketplace operations and competitive dynamics.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing: SEO, PPC, email, and social media.
  • Familiarity with product lifecycle and listing optimization for search and conversion.
