N+1: Site Services Superintendent

Our client, a global leading provider in the Energy industry, is looking to appoint a successful Camp Supervisor to be based in Afungi.
JOB DIMENSION
• Onshore facilities include 2 trains (total of 13 mtpa), and Condensate storage, Marine Facilities (Jetty and loading facilities), Utilities and Early Site Infrastructure (Resettlement Village, Security works, airport, permanent camps, and roads)
• Site Personnel on Board is expected to peak at 15,000.
ACTIVITIES
• Inspire safety commitment in Client and all Contractors and Subcontractors teams via deep knowledge of HSE and leadership by example.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant HSE requirements across works to promote a healthy and safe work environment.
• Assist to gather and validates ‘lessons learnt’ from all project team and provides feedback.
• Support the Site services Superintendent, by providing inputs and coordination, in the resolution of issues.
• Be responsible for the Coordination of all Pemba/Mocimboa da Praia and Palma Logistical Support, ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments, and goals.
• Ensure the company stake holders, project teams are provided with a seamless supply chain ensuring supplies and equipment are delivered in a timely manner.
• Control and follow up daily, logistics processes of shipments materials and equipment internationally and locally ensuring application of defined procedures and legal/ethical requirements, and that are delivered within deadlines.
• Develop and maintain materials movement records – shipments status updates.
• Ensuring that Instructions, Work Orders and Delivery Requests are issued correctly and accurately to Freight Forwarder, Service Providers and Contractors and are followed up on the progress of tasks and timely reported by the Freight Forwarder, Service Provider and or Contractor.
• Control and follow up daily, logistics processes of shipments materials and equipment internationally and locally ensuring application of defined procedures and legal/ethical requirements, and that are delivered within deadlines.
• Coordinate all the booking/request for accommodation.
• Monitors and maintains a high level of cleanliness in rooms, storage areas, linen rooms, offices, laundry, restrooms, and public areas.
• Ensures quality services are rendered in meeting accommodation request and that guest relations are enhanced.
• Conducts inventories of linen, supplies and equipment as required.
• Liaise with maintenance daily and ensure that maintenance is being carried out as required.
• Ensure the highest standard of customer service by providing a friendly and efficient service to all customers and inspiring your team to do likewise.
• Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the accommodation services including bedrooms rooms and the cleaning and servicing of public areas within the camp.
CONTEXT AND ENVIRONMENT
• Project entity is a multinational joint venture, has a large social performance element and is project financed by high profile lenders.
• The Site is extremely remote in Northern Mozambique with unreliable infrastructure and communications.
• The site is subject to mitigation measures based on Malaria, COVID pandemic and general security risks.

QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCED REQUIRED
• Education: Bachelor diploma in business management or logistics
• Experience in people, camps, and contractor management.
• Full understanding of areas critical to the success of large complex projects: safety, environmental, work organization, cost, schedule, quality, organizational competency, and reputational risk.
• Strong HSE culture and safety leadership, effective communication, and leadership skills with the ability to influence critical decisions.
• Strong English written and verbal communication skills required. Portuguese or French is advantageous.
