Summary
The Corporate Consultant is responsible for providing expert advice on banking practices, regulations and compliance issues inherent to the corporate segment, as well as developing strategic initiatives aligned with industry standards, analysing operational processes and recommending improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage the performance of the corporate portfolio, identifying any potential risks or issues and taking the necessary actions to maintain a healthy portfolio.
- Identify new business opportunities, participate in conferences, forums and industry events, creating visibility for the bank and positioning it as a key player, with a view to expanding the customer base and increasing market share.
- Design and structure project financing solutions, debt syndication and capital facilities to meet the unique needs of corporate companies.
- Keep up to date with industry trends, market dynamics, regulatory changes and technological advances in the sector.
- Provide insights and advice to clients based on industry experience.
- Evaluate capital projects, manage capital raising activities and leverage specialised financial instruments.
- Manage credit risk by conducting due diligence and assessing exposure associated with corporate lending.
- Develop risk mitigation strategies and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with other areas to ensure adherence to internal policies and regulatory guidelines.
- Build and maintain relationships with corporate companies, understanding their specific financial needs and providing tailored solutions to help them achieve their objectives.
- Assess the financial health and performance of corporate companies by analysing their financial statements, cash flow and profitability to evaluate solvency and identify potential risks.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Management, Economics, Finance, Business Administration or related areas.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the banking sector in project financing, consulting in the corporate segment.
- In-depth knowledge of banking regulations and compliance principles.
- Ability to think strategically, analyse critically and solve problems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with stakeholders.
- Proficiency in banking standards and procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in Portuguese and English.
