Job Title: Finance Assistant
Work Location: Maputo
+ Working Hours:
08:00 – 17:00, with a 2-hour lunch break at noon.
Key Responsibilities:
1、1. Accounting and Bookkeeping
Record daily financial transactions in the accounting system.
Assist in preparing journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
Maintain accurate records of invoices, receipts, and other supporting documents.
2. Payments
Prepare payment requests and verify supporting documentation.
Prepare bank reconciliations.
Ensure timely processing of supplier payments.
3. Financial Reporting and Analysis
Support the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports.
Help prepare documentation for external audits.
4. Administrative Support
Maintain filing systems (digital and physical) for finance documents.
Coordinate with other departments regarding financial matters.
Requirements:
1、Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2、Experience:3-5 years of experience in accounting, finance, or a similar role.
Experience with accounting software (e.g., Primavera).
3、Previous experience in preparing payments, reconciliations, and financial reports.
4、Technical Skills:Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial procedures.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, and reporting).
Ability to work with spreadsheets, databases, and accounting systems.
Familiarity with bank reconciliation, invoicing, and expense tracking.
5、Behavioral Competencies:High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and reliability.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
