Job Title: Construction Manager ISBL
Mission
- Lead and manage construction activities within the Inside Battery Limits (ISBL) scope, either executed by subcontractors or through direct hire.
- Supervise multidisciplinary construction works, ensuring compliance with contract requirements and project goals.
- Achieve project targets in terms of schedule, cost, quality, and safety through effective coordination of the construction team.
- Support project management in planning, monitoring, and updating the construction execution plan.
Key Responsibilities
- Define the construction execution strategy, including subcontracting plans, logistics, and constructability assessments.
- Participate in the development of the overall construction schedule and planning activities.
- Issue or enforce procedures for working methods and site regulations.
- Ensure timely and cost-effective execution of activities by leading and guiding the construction team and applying corrective measures when needed.
- Analyze and report on progress, addressing deviations and proposing corrective actions.
- Implement recovery plans when necessary, including activity rescheduling and reallocation of scopes between subcontractors or direct hire personnel.
- Collect and analyze work progress data and prepare regular reports.
- Ensure interdisciplinary coordination, resolving technical conflicts and optimizing construction sequencing.
- Oversee mobilization/demobilization of resources in line with the project timeline and needs.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary construction activities and subcontractors, ensuring workforce and equipment adequacy.
- Provide technical input for evaluating variation orders.
- Ensure achievement of construction milestones, including mechanical completion targets.
- Act as the main interface with the Client for all construction-related matters.
- Interface with engineering to ensure timely availability of drawings and materials.
- Identify and document lessons learned for future improvement.
- Continuously monitor productivity and construction efficiency.
- Oversee Mechanical Completion by System/Sub-System in coordination with the Commissioning Manager.
- Define monthly work-front studies based on site conditions and engineering/procurement status.
- Set measurable targets and assign clear responsibilities to site supervisory staff.
- Ensure compliance with HSE and quality control procedures during construction and pre-commissioning.
- Manage the construction budget, track monthly payments, and ensure proper cash flow for all parties.
- Report to the Project Director and Project Manager on all construction execution matters.
- Review construction-related contractual documentation in coordination with other project teams.
Required Experience
- Proven experience in managing construction activities within ISBL (Inside Battery Limits), particularly for LNG or similar large-scale projects.
- Strong leadership and coordination skills across multidisciplinary teams.
- Familiarity with project planning, execution strategies, budget management, HSE, and quality systems.
