About the Role
Position: Business Partner – Human Resources
Type: Permanent, full-time
Location: Mozal, Mozambique
As a Business Partner Human Resources, you will provide strategic support to business leaders, ensuring effective people decisions across the employee lifecycle. This includes building strong teams, supporting employee relations, and embedding Mozal and South32’s culture across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote and maintain a safety-first culture aligned with the South32 Operating Model
- Provide HR support to a designated client group with a business-focused mindset
- Coach leaders in making consistent and effective people-related decisions
- Support strategic workforce planning and people initiatives
- Guide performance reviews, succession planning, and talent development
- Analyze HR trends to implement solutions and policies
- Offer industrial and employee relations advice, resolving issues as needed
- Lead and manage workplace investigations
- Ensure legal compliance and mitigate HR-related risks
- Administer HR processes via HRIS (SuccessFactors & SAP)
- Foster strong stakeholder relationships and embody company values
About You
Experience and Skills
- Minimum 4 years’ experience as an HR Generalist
(Talent Management, Industrial Relations, Organizational Behavior, Change Management) - Experience with HR systems such as SuccessFactors or SAP HR
- Strong negotiation, influence, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to provide strategic guidance and challenge the status quo
- Fluent in Portuguese and English
Qualifications
- Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, or equivalent qualification
