About the Role
Position: Engineer – Modifications & Small Projects
Type: Permanent, full-time
Location: Mozal, Mozambique
Reports to: Superintendent – Modifications & Small Projects
As Engineer – Modifications & Small Projects, you will be responsible for managing engineering projects and modifications in accordance with Mozal procedures, engineering standards, and safety regulations. The goal is to implement safe, practical, and cost-effective solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the health and safety of all team members
- Manage approved modifications and small projects, adhering to defined scope, budget, schedule, standards, and specifications
- Ensure compliance with internal and external engineering standards
- Manage change control, ensuring updates to “as-built” documentation
- Oversee SAP Master Data changes and update operating procedures accordingly
- Ensure contractors are competent, follow work standards, and understand the function of critical controls
- Hand over completed projects to operations/clients in compliance with Mozal and South32 requirements
About You
Experience and Skills
- Minimum 3 years of experience in an industrial environment
- Exposure to Process Engineering or Project Management
- Fluency in Portuguese and English
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering
