About the Role

BURN is seeking an exceptional Territory Sales Manager to join our team. The selected candidate will have a strong background in driving regional sales revenue, key account management, and new business development.

Key Responsibilities

  • B2B & B2C Sales: Achieve assigned B2B and B2C sales targets within the designated region.
  • Strategic Projects/Initiatives: Support the planning, implementation, and monitoring of strategic projects.
  • Team Management: Recruit, train, and manage sales executives/agents/team leaders within the territory, ensuring the team meets performance and sales goals.
  • Distribution Management: Collaborate with warehouse personnel and logistics service providers to ensure timely delivery of products to sales agents.
  • Account Management: Support distribution partners with business strategies, orders, information, and marketing assistance, where applicable.
  • New Business Development: Identify and develop new distribution partnerships, focusing on wholesalers, retailers, financial institutions, companies, government bodies, and NGOs.
  • Research & Reporting: Produce analytical reports on project developments, including distribution activities, marketing initiatives, sales forecasts, and comprehensive market research on various topics.
  • Information Gathering: Collect critical market information on the improved cookstove sector, BURN’s distribution partners, competitor activities, and other key market aspects.
  • Administrative Work: Support various administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (MBA preferred), ideally in Business Management or Marketing.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in project management, with demonstrated ability to coordinate complex projects involving multiple stakeholders and deliver results on time.
  • Knowledge in sales and marketing, preferably in durable goods and/or fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG).
  • Bilingual – Fluent in English and Portuguese.
  • Strong analytical skills, particularly with sales and marketing data.
  • Comfortable engaging with high-level corporate clients.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with enthusiasm to “sell for good” and a hands-on attitude.
  • Experience in developing business strategies and plans.
  • Proven experience in identifying and developing B2B distribution partnerships in Mozambique.
  • Track record in managing key accounts across various distribution channels.
  • Previous experience in market research or Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) is a plus.
  • Experience in sales and distribution.
