Airswift is currently recruiting for an experienced Ops Geologist to support a major offshore oil & gas project in Mozambique.
This is an excellent opportunity for a geoscience professional with deep offshore drilling experience to play a key role in geological operations, real-time well monitoring, formation evaluation, geosteering, and drilling optimization within a technically challenging environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise geological operations for exploration, appraisal, and development wells.
- Provide high-level real-time monitoring and interpretation of drilling activities.
- Deliver formation evaluation and geosteering support to ensure well objectives are achieved.
- Monitor pore pressure indicators and geomechanical risks to support safe drilling operations.
- Plan and oversee LWD, wireline, coring, sampling, and data acquisition programmes.
- Coordinate with drilling, subsurface, and service company teams to optimize operational performance.
- Prepare high-quality geological reports, post-well analyses, and lessons learned documentation.
- Support operational risk management and decision-making in a deep offshore environment.
