Servtec SBM is seeking a highly experienced Senior Subsea Engineer to join our team in Maputo. You will play a key role in delivering safe, reliable and cost-effective subsea and pipeline solutions for deepwater projects across the Oil & Gas value chain.

THIS IS A PROJECT & ENGINEERING ROLE – NOT A FIELD TECHNICIAN POSITION.

We are looking for a SENIOR ENGINEER with strong technical background, deepwater experience and proven project delivery capability.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

• University Degree or diploma in an engineering / technical discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
• At least 6 years in completion / workover operations, including 4 years of deepwater experience.
• Strong experience in subsea and pipelines projects.
• Solid knowledge of well completion activities and workover operations.
• Experience in Well Testing (Oil & Gas), Gravel Pack, Completion & Workover in deepwater environments.
• Familiar with HSE rules application.
• BOSET and HUET valid certificates.
• Valid fit to work certificate for offshore activity.
• Fluent in English (written & spoken).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist the Subsea & Pipelines Project Engineer in selecting and defining optimal subsea solutions.
• Prepare design specifications and ITTs.
• Review and comment on technical documentation from contractors (reports, specifications, procedures, drawings, etc.), ensuring compliance with established procedures and good engineering practice.
• Resolve technical issues related to subsea equipment and systems.
• Monitor and report technical progress to the Subsea & Pipelines Project Engineer.
• Ensure the implementation of technical solutions in line with project objectives, safety and quality standards.

TECHNICAL EXPERTISE

Well Completion & Workover

• Completion activity & workover operation.
• Well Testing (Oil).
• Well Testing (Gas).
• Gravel Pack.
• Completion & workover experience for deepwater.

Contracting

• Variations and Claim Resolution.

Technical Specifications & Bidding

• Technical & Contract Specifications Preparation (Engineering).
• Evolution of technological market.
• Specific suppliers and contractors market knowledge.
• Preparation and development of technical standards.
• Tender technical evaluation.

Data Management

• Data management and computer literacy (e.g. MS Office).
