Main Tasks:
- Know, respect and ensure compliance with the Company’s Code of Conduct.
- Inspire safety commitment in Client and EPC Contractor teams via deep knowledge of HSE and leadership by example.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant HSE requirements across the works to promote a healthy and safe work environment.
- Support the site Director in the overall site management and be a key member of the site Emergency Management Team.
- Operationally oversee HSE, Emergency Response, Environmental & Health.
- Promptly notify the site leadership team and corporate HSE Director of accidents and incidents in line with company procedures, where appropriate be involved in incident investigations.
- Develop a team spirit, foster teamwork, and build trust within the team. Encourage suitable personal and professional development.
- Spends enough time in the field to have a full understanding of HSE risks and control measures being implemented – Lead by example and promote company Golden Rules and Stop Work Authority.
- Prepare and update project HSE improvement plans and targets.
- Ensure all unsafe acts and conditions are recorded on an observation system (on the day of the event) along with immediate action taken and any further action required to prevent recurrence.
- Undertake and record findings from regular inspections of contractors work locations against their health and safety plans and contract requirements.
- Review company and contractor site specific procedures and ensure contractors are working to their agreed processes and systems.
- Oversee the monitoring and reporting on contractor HSSE performance and make recommendations for improvement.
- Ensure that all mandatory training is undertaken in line with agreed timescales.
- Ensure periodic review of incidents by site leadership and contractors through established HSE committee.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years on large greenfield projects — LNG liquefaction (preferred), GTL, petrochemical, refinery, or gas processing / feedstock plants
- Incident management & investigation
- Deep knowledge of HSE sufficient to inspire safety commitment in Company and EPC Contractor teams
- Inspection, audit & contractor HSSE assurance
- HSE planning & performance management
- Minimum 15 years’ HSE experience, with at least 5 years at management level.
- Project & construction interface
- Strong HSE culture and safety leadership, with the ability to influence critical decisions

- Emergency response & crisis management
