JOB OPPORTUNITY
Well Construction Fluids Laboratory Technician

We are recruiting on behalf of a major international Oil & Gas services company operating in Mozambique.

Location: Pemba, Mozambique (site-based position)
Rotation: 4 weeks ON / 4 weeks OFF
Contract: Fixed-term renewable contract
Accommodation & site logistics: Provided on rotation
Salary package: According to profile and experience

Main Responsibilities:

As Well Construction Fluids Laboratory Technician, you will support drilling and well construction operations through laboratory analysis, fluids quality control, and technical support activities:

Perform laboratory testing and quality control on drilling and completion fluids
Prepare laboratory reports and support operational teams prior to wellsite deployment
Support fluid selection, additives evaluation, and fluid system optimization
Ensure compliance with HSE, QA/QC, and operational standards
Maintain laboratory equipment and testing documentation
Coordinate with operational teams, technical support functions, and client representatives

Profile Required

Diploma or Degree in Chemistry, Laboratory Sciences, Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or related field
Experience in drilling fluids, completion fluids, or Oil & Gas laboratory operations preferred
Previous experience in industrial or Oil & Gas environments strongly appreciated
Good understanding of HSE and laboratory quality procedures
Ability to work in rotational and high-demand operational environments
Strong analytical mindset, autonomy, and team spirit
