Purpose of the Role
The Specialist Contracting will be based in Maputo and will oversee the contracting of long-term services and goods to support Sasol Gas plant and office operations, ensuring compliance, cost efficiency, and risk mitigation.
Key Responsibilities
Contract Drafting & Management:
- Draft, review, and negotiate contractual agreements with suppliers.
- Prepare tender documents, issue invitations, evaluate bids, and award contracts.
- Resolve contract disputes and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with the legal department to finalize contracts.
Procurement & Compliance:
- Initiate procurement processes for high/medium-risk goods and services.
- Track procurement activities to ensure adherence to contract terms.
- Verify bid submissions and contribute to negotiations for cost savings.
- Administer contracting activities in line with Sasol policies and legal standards.
Stakeholder & Risk Management:
- Develop clear, risk-mitigated contracts to maximize savings and service levels.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Continuously improve contracting processes and personal professional skills.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: University Bachelor’s Degree in Law or Commerce.
- Experience: 9+ years in contracting, procurement, or supply chain roles.
