Appointed person / Senior Lifting Planner

Our client in Pemba is looking for Appointed Person/ Senior Lifting Planner to join their team within the Mining Sector.
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed lifting plans, risk assessments, and method statements for complex lifting operations
- Evaluate load weights, lifting points, crane capacities, and ground conditions
- Select appropriate lifting equipment (cranes, slings, shackles, spreader beams, etc.)
- Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and site teams to ensure safe execution of lifts
- Review and approve lifting plans prepared by junior planners or teams
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and international lifting standards
- Conduct site visits to assess lifting conditions and identify potential hazards
- Provide technical guidance and support during lifting operations.
Requirements
- Degree or diploma in Engineering, Construction, or a related field
- Certification as an Appointed Person / Lifting Planner (preferred)
- Minimum 5–10 years of experience in lifting operations and planning
- Strong knowledge of crane operations, rigging, and lifting techniques
- Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and load charts
- Knowledge of safety standards and regulations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
