Define, implement, develop, manage, and administer finance and accounting policies to ensure sound financial governance, compliance, and performance. 

Responsabilidades

  • Budgeting and Financial Planning: Ensure preparation of the budget in coordination with the Heads of Departments
  • Ensure accuracy and consolidation of annual budgets
  • Ensure adherence to approved budgets
  • Participate in all budgetary meetings
  • Ensure expenses are incurred within approved budget allocations.
  • Controls, Compliance, and Reporting: Define and implement internal control systems
  • Define and implement finance policies and procedures in line with accounting standards and applicable regulations
  • Responsible for all the company financial reports
  • Perform business analysis and advice on cost and revenue efficiencies to be applied
  • Collect and update capital expenditure data for cash flow projections
  • Assist in preparation of cost studies for projects and proposals
  • Responsible for sending all annual and monthly financial reports to Dubai office
  • Collation of the financial statements from the Finance Department
  • Quarterly Statistics to be sent to the Central Bank and Ministry of Finance
  • Using financial data, creating in depth financial analysis reports covering all relevant financial metrics and ratios
  • Comparison of budgets with actual figures every month, and investigation and reporting of reasons for deviations.
  • Business Analysis: Obtain Operational metrics and data from Operations Reporting, and compile and prepare a monthly report outlining key performance metrics, drivers of performance and suggestions for improvement
  • Conduct analysis for negotiating rates with lines. Conduct simulation exercises to assess impact of increase/ reduction in tariffs
  • Undertake in depth analysis of various projects to assess the commercial viability. Collect relevant information from Commercial, Operations and Finance & Procurement, etc
  • Perform market analysis for the Commercial department with respect to rates and tariffs to assist the Commercial Manager
  • Develop short, medium, and long-term competitive analysis
  • Analyze port/commodity statistics and subsequently prepare reports to Management on special trends or developments.
  • Billing: Management of invoicing and accounts receivable segment
  • Accounts reconciliation and collections management
  • Implement system improvements
  • Prepare financial reports.
  • Performance Management and Development: Establish and implement performance standards and best practices within the Finance Department
  • Develop, implement, and enforce departmental policies, procedures, and guidelines
  • Plan and monitor training programs for finance personnel
  • Plan, monitor, and analyze MIS reports
  • Establish and monitor KPIs
  • Conduct periodic performance reviews
  • Initiate and support performance improvement initiatives.
  • General: Perform any other duties required to achieve departmental goals, high productivity, and efficient resource utilization.

Qualificações

  • Mandatory Experience: 6 – 8 years
  • Preferable Experience: 10 – 12 years
  • Managerial experience: Minimum 5 years
  • Experience in the Finance Department of a multinational organization or port environment.
