About the Role
This is a permanent, full-time position.
As an Environmental Specialist, you will oversee environmental management activities at the Mozal operation, ensuring compliance with regulations and internal policies while supporting environmental projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with environmental approvals and licences, managing amendments and obtaining new licences as needed.
- Provide technical support and guidance to operational teams regarding environmental regulatory commitments.
- Develop and maintain environmental documentation, including management plans, procedures, and monitoring programs.
- Conduct environmental monitoring and data analysis to identify emerging issues and ensure compliance.
- Support incident investigations and collaborate with global teams for high-level environmental events.
About You
You will have over 5 years of experience in an Environmental Specialist role within an industrial or mining setting, demonstrating expertise in:
- Regulatory compliance and environmental risk management.
- Data collection, analysis, and environmental monitoring.
- Development of environmental management plans and procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Fluency in Portuguese and English.
