Industry: Steel Products Manufacturer

Education: Degree in Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or equivalent technical experience.

Experience: More than 10 years

Languages: Fluent in English & Portuguese

Salary: Industry standard + bonus

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Quality Inspection & Compliance:

  • Conduct thorough inspections of raw materials, fabricated components, and final erected steel structures, ensuring they meet project specifications and codes like AWS or AISC.

Quality Standards:

  • Well versed with SA Quality standards including ASTM A554 and ASTM A53/A192.

Documentation & Reporting:

Maintain detailed records of inspection findings, test results, and material certifications (MTCs), preparing regular reports for management.

Technical Oversight:

  • Review engineering drawings, method statements, and welding procedures to prevent errors and ensure compliance.

Safety & Process Improvement:

  • Ensure all work meets site safety regulations, conduct audits, and analyze data to improve quality processes.

Technical Knowledge:

  • Proficiency in interpreting steel structural drawings, welding procedures, and NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) methods.

Certifications:

  • Preferred certifications include AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI), ASNT Level II in NDT, or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt.

Skills:

  • Strong leadership, attention to detail, proficiency in MS Office, and excellent communication skills.
