ROLE PURPOSE

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, is responsible for safely and efficiently carrying out all of their assigned mechanical maintenance work in the Balama Process Plant, both scheduled and unscheduled. Ensuring the availability, reliability, data collection and maintenance requirements are consistently met.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure safe and efficient execution of Maintenance work for the Balama processing operation, specialising in steel fabrication and chute repair work
• Respond to breakdown events in a timely manner
• Complete all PM tasks, fabrication and repair work truly and ensure all relevant history, comments and any follow up work is captured and communicated to your supervisor
• Work closely with the Maintenance Supervisor to achieve your teams KPI’s for plant availability and safety
• Provide technical advice and support to the Senior Team as required
• . Ensure that all work is completed to a high standard of quality and is finished off cleanly, including painting where necessary
• Ensure that all welding equipment is kept in a clean and safely operable condition at all times and is used within the safety guidelines of the OEM
• Mechanical/Fabrication Trade Qualification
• 2 + years maintenance experience in mineral processing/heavy industry. Flotation/Milling/Filtration experience highly desirable.
