POSITION AVAILABLE: SALES REPRESENTATIVE
in the Medical Industry
Office-based job in Maputo
PURPOSE:
The Sales Representative is a dedicated and highly organized professional with over 2 years of experience in Sales Administration. They aim to contribute to the success of the Mediplus Sales Department by providing essential administrative support, managing sales pipelines, and enhancing client retention and satisfaction.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Pipeline & New Business Development
- Track and maintain the Mediplus sales pipeline, ensuring it is consistently updated.
- Participate in calls with potential clients alongside the sales team and update client records.
- Review onboarding information for individual and group clients before their integration into the system.
- Monitor news outlets daily to identify potential new business opportunities.
Broker Support
- Schedule monthly meetings with brokers, ensuring the involvement of the Senior Manager – New Business.
- Update broker quotation requests in the sales pipeline and document reasons for any lost business.
- Assist with the onboarding process for new brokers and maintain positive working relationships.
Reporting & Administration
- Assist in compiling and submitting weekly and monthly reports on potential clients, open quotes, and tenders.
- Provide updates on quote requests, both internally and externally, to feed into the weekly sales report.
- Assist in reporting for new business and sales activities, with a focus on retail and corporate markets.
- Ensure the accuracy and timely submission of all reports as required by the Senior Manager – New Business.
Branding & Event Coordination
- Attend events and campaigns as needed to support sales and brand promotion efforts.
- Maintain a record of marketing materials and ensure their availability for promotional activities.
Client Retention
- Assist in submitting renewal terms to clients and maintain up-to-date client records.
- Coordinate and schedule monthly meetings with existing clients in collaboration with the Client Relations team.
- Address and resolve client/member queries promptly and efficiently.
- Record group terminations, document reasons, and assist in updating contracts and addendums.
- Provide direct assistance to the Senior Manager – New Business.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATION:
- Experience: 2 years of experience in Sales Administration.
- Industry Knowledge: Previous experience in the medical aid industry is preferred.
- Self-sufficiency: Ability to perform independently, under pressure, and meet targets and deadlines.
- Motivation: Highly motivated, results-driven, with a passion for supporting sales and client relationships.
- Target-Oriented: Focused on achieving targets and continuously improving performance.
SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES:
- Fluent in Portuguese and English.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
- Sales Administration: Over 2 years of experience in managing sales pipelines, client onboarding, and renewals.
- Organization & Coordination: Ability to manage multiple tasks, ensure deadlines are met, and maintain detailed records.
- Attention to Detail: Ensures accuracy in all reports, client records, and commission calculations.
- Communication: Strong ability to liaise effectively with internal teams, brokers, and clients to ensure smooth operations.
- Computer Literate: Proficient in using sales tracking software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Confidentiality & Sensitivity: Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Client Relations: Skilled in managing relationships with clients and brokers to ensure satisfaction and retention.
- Proactive: Demonstrates initiative in identifying new business opportunities and taking steps to secure them.
