For our Afungi Project, Renco is looking for a Contract Manager.

DUTIES & RESPONSABILITIES

  • Coordinates the initial analysis of the Contract and all accompanying documentation, notify the Project Manager of any risk and/or opportunity and provide the guidance needed to define the Contract and Subcontract management strategy;
  • Monitor and ensure fulfillment of contract obligations of all parties, via meetings, letters, contractual actions;
  • Prepare Claims, Variations and any other contractual documents;
  • Analyses the bids from a Contractual/Administrative perspective (Terms & Conditions), reporting any sources of risk and/or opportunity and proposing to the Project Manager and Commercial Director possible requests for clarification and/or deviation;
  • Assisting the Project Manager with official communications that may have contractual implication;
  • Ensures all support required by the Project Manager and coordinates with the Legal Department to prevent or manage any disputes that could arise with the Client and suppliers;
  • Ensures that the contractual situation is constantly updated by collecting all inherent documentation (change orders, correspondence, etc.);
  • Ensures that the Contract Manager and the Contract Management Leader are kept constantly up to date on the general status of existing contracts and subcontracts timeously reporting critical matters.

REQUIRED COMPETENCES

  • At least 5 years in same or similar role;
  • Knowledge of English (Portuguese is a plus).

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in quantity surveying and/or engineering and/or commercial management

LOCATION

  • Afungi – Mozambique (work shift 60/15).
