Fundación Capital is reactivating its operations in Mozambique and is seeking a Strategic Partnerships Manager to help consolidate strategic partnerships, identify new business opportunities, strengthen institutional positioning, and advance ongoing and future initiatives that will accelerate our country strategy.
The role is based in Maputo and will begin on a part-time basis under a six-month, deliverable-based
contract (starting 15th January 2016), with the potential to transition to full-time and be extended based
on performance and the development of new partnerships.

In Mozambique, our work focuses on key areas such as Financial Inclusion, Social Protection and Economic Inclusion, Behavior Change and Community Engagement (SBC), Child Protection and the Prevention of Gender-Based Violence and Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (GBV/PSEA), and Adolescent Development and Participation. This role will particularly contribute to expanding Con-Hector, our digital platform designed to promote employability, enhance access to financial services, and strengthen sustainable livelihoods.
What are the tasks and responsibilities?
- Represent Fundación Capital and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders in
- Mozambique.
- Drive collaboration opportunities with donors, government, and partners.
- Promote visibility through active participation in events and strategic platforms.
- Coordinate engagement, meetings, and follow-up with institutional counterparts.
- Gather insights, produce deliverables, and report progress to advance the country’s strategy.

- Technical RequirementsLanguages:
- Fluency in Portuguese and English (spoken and written) is required. Knowledge of Spanish will be considered an asset. The role also requires strong writing skills for preparing strategic materials such as reports, presentations, proposals, and advocacy documents.
Skills & Knowledge:
- Good understanding of Mozambique’s and the region’s social, economic, and political
- context.
- Experience in institutional relations and international cooperation.
- Ability to identify and develop funding opportunities.
- Proven skills in managing partnerships across sectors.
- Strong analytical and communication abilities; experienced in stakeholder engagement
Work Experience:
At least seven years of experience in international development, including
cooperation, social inclusion, or economic development, and a minimum of five years leading or
supporting partnership development, preferably in Africa—ideally in Mozambique.
Education:
University degree in Social Sciences, International Relations, Development, Economics,
or related field
